The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring events that should be of interest to everyone in our Community as well as those that live elsewhere but have property or visit here regularly.
February is Arizona’s 100th Birthday and Kicking off the February events starts on February 4th at the Heber/Overgaard Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center from 10am-2pm. The Hashknife Pony Express Riders will be there with pictures and souvenirs and the Chamber will supply a birthday cake, and drinks.
On February 8th, the Hashknife Pony Express rides into Heber/Overgaard from Holbrook. They will ride into town on Highway 277 and take Mogollon Dr around to the Overgaard Post Office for a pick up of mail, then go on to Skyline Canyon Realty parking lot for a rest area, photo opportunities, and souvenirs, then to the Heber Post Office for another mail pickup and down the road to Payson.
On February 11th at the Heber/Overgaard Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center from 10am-2pm, Bobbie Stephens Hunt, our local book writer with stories of the Heber/ Overgaard area will be do a book signing and talk of days of yore. We will have another birthday cake and drinks.
On February 18th, the Heber/Overgaard Chamber of Commerce is working on scheduling something of interest to be determined again between 10am and 2pm at the Chamber Visitors Center.
On February 25th at the Heber/Overgaard Chamber Visitors Center from 10am-2pm, Debbie from the Forest Service will share information on animals, trails, hikes, and areas of interest in our Heber/Overgaard area. Again, another birthday cake and drinks will be supplied by the Chamber Volunteers.
