MEMORIAL DAY REMINDER

I know you all know what Memorial Day is all about and just want to remind you in case you forgot.  We honor all our men/women who give the ultimate sacrifice in their service to our country.  You have heard and seen me use the term “Freedom is Not Free”. This term should tell you all what Memorial Day is all about.  Remembering all the thousands and thousands of US troops that died to keep us FREE.

Going back as far as World War I and up to today it will shock you to know how many lives have been lost.  American’s Wars total (1775-1991) 604,109 deaths!  Add to that this current “Global War on Terror” 6,218 which includes Battle deaths and other deaths in theater.

Which means 610,327 dead in the battles to KEEP US FREE!

Not only should we honor our deceased war troops, we should keep in mind the 23,442 Vets from battles from 1775 – 1991 and up to today!

Let me close this with the chorus of the song “THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND”

“This land is my land from California to New York Island.

From the Redwoods forest to the Gulf Stream waters,

This Land was made for YOU AND ME!”

Safe, Healthy and Happy is what I hope you are.
